- The fee for completing the online course and receiving a certificate of completion is $36. This fee applies whether you are filing as an individual or as a married couple.
- We also offer the course over the phone for a fee of $45. If you've already registered for the phone course and wish to switch to the online course (or vice versa), please call us at 1-800-717-9789 to ensure your certificate is generated properly.
- If your spouse is deceased, please contact us at 1-800-717-9789 before starting the course to avoid any issues with your registration.
- If you prefer to listen to an audio version of the internet course while you go through the pages, you can opt to pay for this service at the beginning of the course. The cost is $4.95 per household, and it is entirely optional. If you have a visual impairment, you may request this accommodation at no additional cost.
- We provide free bilingual Spanish language assistance for the course over the phone. Call 1-800-717-9789 for assistance.
- Our instructors have extensive knowledge in financial planning, bankruptcy law, and education. They hold doctoral degrees, teaching credentials, and have financial counseling experience.
- We are committed to providing your certificate of completion promptly. Your certificate will be sent within one business day of completing the course, and usually immediately upon finishing. Those taking the online course can print their certificates directly once they complete the course. Only individuals who complete the course in its entirety will receive a certificate.
- If you need to take the course on behalf of another person (as a "Power of Attorney"), please call us at 1-800-717-9789 for further instructions before registering.
- The course is available to debtors regardless of their ability to pay. If your household income is less than 150% of the poverty guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (see guidelines here), you may qualify for a full or partial fee waiver.
- If you meet the poverty guidelines but either of the following applies:
- Your income is enough to pay or has already paid over $600 to an attorney or legal service to assist with your bankruptcy case, or
- Your income is enough that you spend over $200 per month on non-essential items,
- you will receive a partial waiver of 20% off the course fee.
- If you meet the poverty guidelines and neither of the above applies, you will be eligible for a full waiver.

To request a full or partial waiver, please download and complete the waiver form here, and email, fax, or mail it to us. We also require documentation of your income (e.g., a recent pay stub or Social Security statement). We will respond within three business days. (Note: Waiver amounts will be applied toward the full price of the course, not in addition to any coupon code discounts.)
- We do not accept or pay any referral fees for recommending this course to debtors.
- We may be required to disclose debtor information to the U.S. Trustee during their oversight, investigations, or quality reviews of our services. However, we do not disclose debtor information to any third parties.
- The U.S. Trustee has only reviewed our instructional course; they have not reviewed or approved any of the other services we provide.
- If you choose to have your certificate filed with the court, we will do so within 1-2 business days or, for rush filings, within two hours during regular business hours. While we strive to file certificates promptly, there may be rare instances (such as court system issues or mismatched information) that could cause slight delays. However, we make every effort to file certificates as quickly as possible.
- We are not affiliated with, nor do we receive endorsements from, any companies mentioned in this course.
- There is no fee to have your certificate filed with the court within 1-2 business days. There is a $14.85 fee for rush filing within two hours. Both filing options are optional.
Refund Policy:
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee up until the issuance of the certificate. Refunds will be processed according to the following guidelines:
- If a student debtor pays for the course but does not start or complete the course, a full refund will be provided.
- If a student debtor completes the course and a certificate is issued, no refund will be given.
