About the Course

About the Course
The pre-bankruptcy credit counseling course is designed to help you assess your financial situation and make informed decisions before filing for bankruptcy. This course is an essential first step in the bankruptcy process and must be completed before you can file your bankruptcy case.

Course Duration:
The course is required by law to be at least one hour long. You can complete it in one sitting or take breaks as needed. The system automatically saves your progress, so you can pick up where you left off at any time.

Cost:
The online credit counseling course is available for $36 per household, with no extra charge for married couples filing jointly. We also offer a money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the course, you can receive a full refund up until the point your certificate is generated.

Certificate of Completion:
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate that is required to proceed with your bankruptcy filing. This certificate can be emailed to you, and your attorney, immediately after completion. If needed, we can also file it with the court on your behalf.

faqFrequently Asked Questions

Can your company file my certificate(s) with the court?

Yes! The law permits our company to file debtor education certificates with the court. For an additional $14.95/household, you can also select to have your certificate(s) rush filed with the court (within two hours during our business hours, Monday through Sunday). This is especially helpful if your filing deadline is approaching.
